Pantry Donations

Supported by donations from local businesses, as well as charitable individuals and organizations, BTAC is able to provide food and other necessary goods to our less fortunate neighbors.  A big shout-out to Costco, Grocery Outlet, Pavilion’s and Trader Joe’s for their amazingly generous donations to BTAC!

Donations to BTAC can be made at the rear entrance of the building on non-holiday weekdays between 8am and 3pm. Ring the doorbell and a volunteer will come to the door to assist you.  BTAC is only permitted to accept contributions of commercially prepared, unopened food.

For significant contributions of food and/or personal hygiene supplies from retail/wholesale establishments, we can make arrangements for pick-up. Please contact Facility/Pantry Manager Edward Stapleton at estapleton@theBTAC.org or (818) 848-2822, extension #1007.

A Quick Note on Donations

We’re often asked what supplies are most needed.  The best way to answer that is to think about what you provide for your family.  What ends up on your dinner table?  What items do you keep in your kitchen?  Generally speaking, we don’t need ramen noodles (we get plenty of those) or specialty food items.  Here are some ideas:

BTAC needs the following supplies year-round:

Food

  • Boxed stuffing
  • Instant potatoes (in box)
  • Cereals
  • Easy-open pull tab:
    • Canned fruits and vegetables
    • Canned soups
    • Canned meats (chicken and tuna)
  • Rice
  • Pasta
  • Pancake mixes
  • Syrup
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Cooking oil
  • Coffee

Hygiene Items

  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Deodorant
  • Feminine protection items
  • Diapers
  • Wipes

Household Supplies

  • Toilet paper
  • Paper towels
  • Cleaning supplies

Canned goods with easy-open pull-tabs are especially appreciated!

BTAC provides our clients with fresh food, like eggs and breads…
…as well as canned and packaged goods. We also have hygiene items.

February 2023: Check out what Roosevelt Elementary School donated to BTAC! Over 400 boxes of cereal following a fun event they held where the boxes were toppled in a domino fashion on their playground!
