BTAC will honor Burbank City Manager Michael Flad with its
“Burbank’s Top Award for Citizenship”
“We’ve already begun working with Michael on plans for the Gala,” said BTAC Treasurer and Dinner Event Chair Vicki Williams. “He is determined to make sure this is NOT like every other fund raiser in town, including our own.”
“We talked him out of making every guest use silverware to climb telephone poles to get dinner, because everyone will be nicely dressed,” Williams said. “Otherwise, since he’s our honoree, he’s mostly getting his way.”
Among the special events will be a first-ever “APPETIZER CONTEST.” Three of Burbank’s most renowned restaurants will provide appetizers, and guests will vote to select their favorite. The restaurants going head to head are Schmick's Seafood, Morton’s -The Steakhouse and Third & Olive Restaurant.
